There is something in the interactions with Pharaoh and Moses and Aaron that I think we would be wise to consider. Pharaoh at times seems to be willing to let the people go, but not without his conditions. He is offering to only let the men go at one point. What did God say- "Let my people go". What is Pharaoh trying to do- make a compromise with God. He is trying to seem like he is doing what God wants, but really just partially doing what was commanded. This is a dangerous thing for Christians even today. Partially obeying God or trying to make compromises on how we follow His commands always leads to trouble. Partial obedience to God is just poorly disguised disobedience. God's Word is not open for negotiation; God's commands are not up for compromises.
