November 13 Genesis 39
Joseph was falsely accused of wrongdoing when in fact he did the righteous thing. He did not allow himself to be talked into sin. He simply did what he knew what was right.
Yet, despite doing what was right he was treated very wrong. He was thrown into jail because the garment was the proof that Potiphar's wife had of his great sin. In truth, that garment in her hand was a proof of his righteousness because he fled and left it behind. The world was treating Joseph wrong, yet God still turned the wrongs into good opportunities. Joseph was no ordinary prisoner. He was a leader in the prison. God may have allowed Joseph to end up in a tough place, but he turned good opportunities up in those bad spots. The world was wronging Joseph, yet God kept showing up for him time after time. He can do the same for us. We can't on the world to treat us fairly all the time, but we can count on God to take care of us wherever we may find ourselves.
