Luke 1:26-38

If you read verse 37 you read "For nothing is impossible with God". The virgin birth is not possible without God. It defies the laws of biology that God has established. Yet, the God who put the plan of natural birth in motion can step into the story and do something supernatural, something that goes against the normal pattern of things. This is the basis for miracles. God stepping into the normal patterns of the world and doing something extraordinary.

When God says He is going to do something the barriers that we have as humans do not apply to Him. He is not bound by our human wisdom of how things can or cannot work. This should give us boldness and urgency in our prayers. It also should make us desire God's will more and more each day. A lot of people have good intentions in our lives but may not have the ability to help us or do what needs to be done. God doesn't just have mere good intentions; He has all ability to make His will carry out and it is always to our benefit that God does what He knows is best. Pray with confidence that whatever your need is God is more than able to handle it.
