Matthew 7:7-12

The gifts that Wise Men brought were seen to be fit for a king. That is who they came to worship. They had followed the star to the place where they would meet Jesus. God had led them to the right place. God pointed them to the Messiah. They came seeking Jesus and they found him.

Today that truth still remains- if you seek Jesus, you will find him. He is not hiding from anyone. Instead of a star we have Scriptures. We have the red letters of what Jesus said. We have the accounts of what Jesus did. We have the Holy Spirit guiding us in the truth. Christmas is a time when a lot of people seek hope, peace, and joy. That is found in Jesus. Point them in that direction this year confidently knowing that when people truly seek Jesus he will be found and will change their life. Perhaps maybe God is calling you to be a "star" this year that points people to the King.
