The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. A proper understanding and reverence for God will shape how we view life. It shapes our priorities. It shapes how we view other people. It shapes how we think the world came into being and what the purpose of life is. Fear of the LORD sets the tone for thinking with a view of the world that starts with God.
God is personal and wants to have a relationship
with us. He adopts us as a perfect Father when we put our faith in Jesus. But He still remains God. We cannot lose our reverence, awe, and fear of God. We must always let God remain God. We must always let Him tell us who He is, rather than us telling Him who He is going to be. Beware of thinking of God too casually or forgetting that we answer to Him, not the other way around.
