August 25 Psalm 113

From the rising of the sun to the setting of the sun the name of the LORD be praised. This is a good reminder that our praise is not limited to a time slot on Sunday. Our relationship with God is not isolated to devotional times in our schedule. All day long our lives should be full of praise to the LORD. The sunset is not the end of our praise. First, God does not rest- He is still God even when we sleep.
Secondly, God is the Creator and Master of this whole planet. The sunset in one part of the world is at the same time as sunrise in other. When we go to bed they are waking up in China, Indonesia, and Australia. It is an awesome thing to consider on a Sunday morning that when we arrive to church for worship there was a wave of worship services across the globe that had begun while we were getting ready for bed. All day long- God is worthy of praise. Our days are better when we remember to praise.
