Psalm 114

God created the world, and He can use His creation to help His people. There are two occasions when God stopped up the water and led the people to cross on dry land. When they left Egypt, they found themselves between the sea and the Egyptian army. God parted the waters for them to walk across on dry ground and in His ultimate protection the waters that had heaped up and lead to a dry pathway came crashing down on the enemies of Israel.

When God was bringing them into the Promised Land, they had to cross a river that was at flood stage. God created a way again where they would once again walk across on dry ground. When God brought them out of Egypt, he parted the waters. When He brought them to take the Promised Land He parted the waters. God was reminding them-I got your journey started and I will help you complete the journey. God was with them. God will be with you in your life as well. The Christian life is about living with God- step-by-step letting Him lead the way.
