Sept. 4 Psalm 119:145-176

We do not know who wrote this Psalm for certain. Many speculate that it was David. The Psalmist concludes this Psalm describing his longing and need for God. He is seeking a closer connection with God. He is seeking to be aware of how God is working to change his circumstances. David knew that God loved him. David knew that God could help him. He had the right theology. He even had the relationship with God that was considered strong in the eyes of others. Yet here he is seeking to grow closer to God. Do we desire to grow closer to God? The more I learn about God, the more I realize there is more to learn and grow in faith. Tough times can help us grow closer to God if we seek His love in our time of challenge. We do not need to seek difficulties; they tend to find us at times. God also finds us to help us in our difficulties, we just need to cry out to Him to help.
