Passover is still celebrated by Jewish people as commemorating the way God freed them from slavery in Egypt and spared their lives during the 10th plague. This Passover has strong connections with Jesus and how the Lamb of God will shed his blood to free us from bondage to sin and death. One of the instructions is not to break the bones of the lamb. This plays in significantly at the cross because Jesus died earlier than the two men next to him. When they wanted to speed up the process of dying, they would break the legs of the criminals to make it more difficult for them to lift their bodies up to breathe. Jesus was already dead, so they did not break his bones, instead he was speared in the side (which was also prophetic fulfilment).
Verse 36 says the Israelites plundered the Egyptians when they left. They did this without stealing anything. The reality is that God had given the Israelites favor with the Egyptians and to gain wealth all they had to do was ask them for silver and gold. God was bringing a large number of people out of Egypt and into a new land to establish a new nation. 600,000 soldiers plus their families, which many estimate to be somewhere in the 2-3 million people mark. God is not letting them leave empty handed without some silver and gold and resources to help the nation of Israel to be established.
