May 18  Psalm 14

The fool says in their heart there is no God sounds like a harsh statement.  However, it is a necessary statement because Romans 1 makes it clear that the evidence of God in creation are so clear that we cannot say we did not know there was a God.  Only a foolish person would have evidence of God and choose to pretend like He doesn't resist or reject Him.  True wisdom stems from God's Word and to reject God's Word means we are living based on our own understanding. Even intelligence and understanding comes from the mind of God.  When we do true Science, we are only trying to discover what God has already designed.  To push God away from our educational and learning settings is a course towards disaster. Intelligent people without a moral compass or wisdom from God can be very dangerous.

How do we respond to the fool?  Mr. T is right- we pity the fool.  They may see us as an enemy, but I feel truly bad for someone who rejects belief in God.  I feel bad for the lack of hope that they will have apart from the God of the universe.  I feel bad for the limited purposes of their life as they think that their life on Earth is all there is, that death is the end of everything.  I pity them because they think they know what is best, but I don't think that idea is planted in their mind by God, but rather their enemy the Devil. We should pity the fool, and we should speak the truth in hopes that one day they may come to their senses.
