May 8 Psalm 5
There is a clear distinction between good and evil. However, there has been a lot of blurring of the lines of right and wrong in some churches and by people who claim to be Christians lately. This is a compromise that will never benefit a man or woman of faith. We need to be crystal clear in our understanding of what God says is right and what God says is wrong.
There also needs to be a distinction in how a Christian lives their life and the rest of the world. The evidence of our understanding of right and wrong should be seen in the decisions we make, the words we say, and how we treat other people. What would happen if Christians just simply decided to be like everyone else and merely go with the flow and blend into the world? Our witness would be non-existent and we would make no difference for the LORD in this world. Be sure you can clearly define good and evil, right and wrong. Be sure you are living in the way that God desires. This Psalm is a reminder that we can find ourselves in opposition to a God who has no problem with identifying right and wrong, and dealing with evil properly. We must always choose to do what is right in God's eyes even if it may be unpopular in the eyes of everyone else.
