June 19   Psalm 47

God reigns over the nations.  I absolutely believe this is true.  The problem is that many nations don't realize this is true.  There are rulers who act as if they are God.  There are decisions made without any regard for the wisdom of God.  When we think about the world and all the chaos, we see it should not come as a surprise that nations and leaders who disregard God will rule foolishly and reap chaos.  We must pray for more leaders who fear and honor God.  We must remember that no matter what is said or done in this world, God will not be overthrown, term-limited, or prove Himself to be incompetent.  

On a positive note- there seems to be a big turning back to the LORD in many places around the world.  There are many in Iran turning to Jesus- they are sick of what their leaders have to offer.  There are many in Europe and in our own country who are turning to the Bible and seeking the LORD- they are becoming aware that the lies and deceptions they have been hearing are simply not working.  As Christians and the church, we must continue to bow before the throne of God and stand for the truth because there are people who need and are seeking what God only offers.  Who will point them to Jesus?  It has to be us.
