June 21   Psalm 49

This Psalm is a reminder that possessions and wealth ultimately cannot keep us from the end of our lives.  At the end of our lives our stuff will not matter.  Our relationship with God will matter.  Our salvation is found in Jesus alone.  We will leave our stuff behind, but we will not miss it.  Our legacy should be how we lived and the influence we had on others, not how great our possessions were.  

To be clear, we can be successful and have money and nice things and still be in a right relationship with, if our property is in the right place of priority in our lives.  What we do in the life for the LORD is so much more important than what we do for ourselves.
